Bear Encounter in Shiretoko National Park 2023

Encountered a Bear in Shiretoko National Park while driving through the park. We spotted the bear when passing a bridge. We went out of the car to spot it closer. Other park guests did also stop. When the bear came nearer and went down under the bridge we were a bit exited. Should we go into our car or wait to see if the bear would just disappear under the bridge? Luckily it did not enter up onto the bridge.
