Ok people, when you deprive meat of oxygen, it will change color. It happens in hours when pressed against things. Not from that meat you got at Walmart? That's because there's gas added to that package from the factory conditions it was packed in. That doesn't make Walmart fresher.

Stop telling this man his meat is bad, you look like fools.

I LOVE my vacuum sealer! I've owned one since the 80's. Every time I upgraded I would give the old one to family. Great for marinades. LOVE!!! LOVE!!.

Am cooking my meats before I vacuum seal. In case of a power outage, the meats have a better chance of being a bit safer for consumption. A fridge freezer thermometer will help determine food safety. Live in an area with summer heat waves of triple degree temperatures, so I do not freeze off too much meat.

Since I got mine, I have vacuum sealed so much! I intentionally make big batches of things and vac seal them in portions so I really don’t have to cook very often.

I also rarely throw things away anymore because of it and has saved me a lot of money .

I LOVE MINE! I’ve sealed several years worth of beans, rice and freeze dried food, not to mention tons of meat in the freezer.

I'd season it before vacuum sealing. Freeze it and then toss it in a sous vide bath when you want to prepare it.

You can even preseason them and just toss it into your sous vide machine when you want them
