Headers FIX with a Washer

The headers on the Mustang have an improper "fitment", and Mike addresses the various suggestion to remedy the situation. He also addresses the word "Fitment".

Grind the steering shaft, cut and weld, hammer and dent your headers? These are all bad ideas!

New sub, my 2" headers have been rubbing on the mounts and i needed a solution. This will work perfect, thank you bro

Unfortunately BBK makes a less than ideal set of headers. I had BBK full length long tubes on my 04 Mach 1 and found out that you CAN'T remove the transmission unless the headers come off first as they wrap around the transmission. Kooks and a few others don't have this problem. The BBK stuff is priced decent and looks pretty good, but fitment is often an issue. I wouldn't use them again.

This video finally solves the age old argument my wife, (sorry, I should probably refer to her as old lady as this is a manly, work on cars video) and I have had about using the word anyways. This post proves at some level that, for once I am finally right! Besides that, what was the video about? Anyway, that’s all I got.

I tried jacking my car up the way you did and it almost crushed my spleen when it fell on top of me. Luckily the I also used a miniature and it only hurt a little.
