I find myself forced to reexamine my 'feels like X-SHOT quality after drop bulpup springer they named 'Longshot' that people less than $50.00, and way than $50.00 to purchase the blaster to start with(which, given it's build quality is more than fare.). Mod that same cheap blaster, only to have it 300fps with 1/2 darts. If the community could persuade or somehow convince X-SHOT to begin making blasters of thicker, slightly higher quality plastic, call it their Super-Pro-Line or something, I believe the pro-sumers will definitely buy them.
I had Nerf LONGSHOT's that I spent way over $200.00 modding hoping to see 230 or 240fps. That was before I learned to mod them the old school ways, reinforcing stock components wherever possible, cause they can work so much better than the metal replacement mod parts.
My latest greatest version of a nerf LONGSHOT was hitting 280fps on a ridiculous 8kg or 9kg spring, with the sweetest "sleeper-breech" you ever saw.
Beautiful light prime, tuned to the absolute max, but it was tuned for cut down Elite darts, so tore it down to replace the brass barrel with an aluminum barrel to be able to AF/DZ Darts that are so easy to get.

Of course without the great gatlingtommy's masterpiece its impossible to reach the Mg3's rate of fire

For what it's worth, AEB velocity is not effected by battery charge, it only effects the rate of fire. The spring load dictates the bulk of the fps.

There are many really cool looking AEBs out of china but unfortunately performances is often around 40-60fps.

I dont know the mod potential, if it was viable I would feel you would see more modded blasters on the web.
