After years of searching for the perfect antique hoosier cabient I finally found one! I am so excited to finally have a bakers cabinet for our unfitted kitchen.

Add A couple of Bay leaves to your flour, it'll keep the bugs away, you can also add the bay leaves on the shelves, it'll work as well.

So beautiful. I put my flour in the freezer for a day or two when i bring it home. Then store in my flour bin. We get weevils here in Australia.

Hang a big bunch of bay leaves in the flour bin. It helps keep the bugs away. Bar soap works great to rub on the bottom of the drawers to help them slide better

Yay!! Hurray!! Your going to LOVE that cabinet!! I have two Hoosiers and two possum bellies and have all four loaded with stuff. I love the idea of the old hooks. I'm pretty sure your cabinet has been stripped. If I recall, Sears used to paint theirs white because they used different woods to make the cabinets. I owned a flea market for 14 yrs. and had a man refinish the old cabinets and sell them at my store. I have my "air fryer" sitting on the enamel top LOL! Merging the old with the new. I'll say it again, you have the PERFECT kitchen and home!! Thoroughly enjoyed watching this!

That bottom drawer with the metal in it on the right hand side of your cabinet that is your bread box. I used to have one and I loved it and I regret leaving it in our old home when we moved.

I found a High Point cabinet. It’s the North Carolina version of a Hoosier. It tripled the counter space in my kitchen and started me down the rabbit hole of unfitted kitchens. They just make so much sense and can change out to keep it interesting or as my needs change.

I have one of these that was my grandmother's. Ariel Handy Helper by Ariel Cabinet Company. I just love it!! I have her vintage Detroit Jewel gas stove/oven as well. There's just something i love about how things used to be made and how they work, plus the memories that come with them.

Add a couple of crates on their sides on the top. You will be surprised how much added storage you’ll get. Love it, perfect baking center. Great find!

Love it! A few tips.. rub the drawers with a bar of soap to help them slide more smoothly. Beeswax will make them stick. And if you'll put a few dry bay leaves in with your flour it will help keep the weevils out. 👍
