IGS Audio ZEN

This is IGS audios ZEN compressor. This video will cover a general overview of this compressor and some audio demonstrations of it in action.

In order to give you a good example of this compressors sonic signature, I have pushed the compression rather liberally.

This is the third unit I have by IGS Audio and each unit is as amazing sounding as the last. If you haven't done so already, you should have a read through their webpage.

These audio examples have been kindly provided by the following artists and I would strongly recommend checking these guys out!

- The piano and vocal performance is by the incredibly nice and even more incredibly talented Paddy Dennehy and was recorded in the Lower Road Studio.

- The house track was provided by none other than the surfer of positive vibes Tony Slemon.

- The drum bus was kindly provided by the ubertastic Dead Man's Eyes.

- The hip-hop track was kindly provided by the spiritually enlightened, cosmic superstar Bubba Shakespeare.

Thank you again and again for this fantastic and inspiring video. The song from Paddy Dennehy is beautiful. You made my day ! The only downside for me about this video is that I own a VariMu style compressor, 2 VCAs and a Diode Bridge one, and after seeing your video, I sadly discovered that I don't have a Zenner style one ! How will I find the money now that I love this Zen ? hahaha ! I can sell one kidney, that's a solution :)))

Love this video. Good stuff out of you, and great sounds in and out of bypass...any chance you could do some more with your other gear? thank you for your demo but please next time do a proper volume levels when comparing on/off. especialy around 8:30 when playing electronic track this comparison is useless as the levels are too different. regards.

Piano example sounds pretty horrible, to be honest. Just use an electric piano. From a user’s pov, I see pointlessly expensive design in the switched controls, a hindrance in any compressor. I’d pass.
