I got a Geiger counter a few years ago but never was able to measure anything radioactive until recently. My friend's mom had some orange dishes in there dining room and living room, which I kind of wondered if they were radioactive Fiestaware, and sure enough last time I went over, I brought my Geiger counter and measured that they were radioactive. There was a bowl that read 3, 200 counts per minute when I put the Geiger counter inside.
