Cariñosa - Philippine Folk Dance

Cariñosa is a Philippine dance of colonial-era origin from the Spanish-influenced suite of Philippine folk dances, where the fan or handkerchief plays an instrumental role as it places the couple in a romance scenario.

My grandfather was from the Philippines, and this is the first time I've seen this beautiful dance. Something inside of me was touched. He was an artist, and sometimes he painted things from Filipino folklore, or things he had seen back home as well as religious paintings. Thank you.

My last dance on this is Grade 6 4th quarter 3 years ago and now i forgot the dance move i keep finding the dance and the folk music and finally i found it, it brings the old memories and my old friends and classmates and now im Grade 9 2nd Quarter and this is my second dance "Sway me" i really enjoy dancing but at first its shy cause you have to find a partner.

I miss dancing especially folk dance. Former folk dancer and leader here from Elem to Highschool. Dancing folk dance is quite hard and needs gracefulness dahil mahinhin and very Maria Clara dapat ang galaw. Nakakamiss sobra 😍❤️
