I'm interested to see what you get. I didn't think 5 below would have tree skirts.🎄 I see you got Target. For my tree on the porch I wrap a table clothe for 4.00 from Job Lot. But the tree isn't in my house. I was in Home Good and it was packed with Christmas. Christmas overload for me. Joan

Never thought about putting bubble lights in a candelabra we have them on out tree a couple old sets couple new set! We have a ten foot tree with nothing but vintage most were my moms and mine even the paper chains I made in first grade and the ones my kids made in kindergarten they are 45 and 50 . The other 6 trees have some themes like the grands tree all the ornaments they received from their grandparents every year! That a tradition for them and they now give to theirs !!

Hi Shelby, I love your road trips 🚗always a great time seeing you and Bill on your trips. My Grandmother had the silver tree and the old ornaments my one Sister has them along with her crochet doilies, and we had bubble lights on our tree, and in the window just like the one you showed. Vlogs are always fun! back in 1990 we visited upstate NY (the Finger Lake area) and while there had THE BEST apple pie and THE BEST apples we've ever eaten. We can't remember what the apples were though..the flesh of the apple was really white..it was crisp and the taste was so perfect..and the pie...loaded with apple filling..not canned apple pie filling but made from scratch in a small bakery using local apples. It was so beautiful there and a good memory. As for the vintage Christmas items in the antique store we always had bubble lights on our tree...later I remember having Shiney Brites and I have since bought vintage ones b/c of my childhood memories...we always loaded the tree with tinsel (which mama insisted we hang ONE strand at a time)...being a kid I wanted to throw handfuls of it on the tree...homemade fudge, cooked in a cast iron skillet, with nuts, was a tradition and that's the only time of the year mama made it...Good deal on your Christmas tree skirt..it will be fun to see it once you put it up. That 'giant cat bed', lol..that was funny Bill...I can't fathom why an adult would want one..kids yet...I'll take my comfy sofa. It's almost time to decorate for Christmas...I always wait until after Thanksgiving which is kind of late this year.

Oh, those bubble lights! We had those growing up, inherited from my mother's mother from Germany. One of my sisters ended up with them and continued to use them, STILL BUBBLING until about 10 years ago. I'm 72 and my oldest sister is 80 so those lights have to be a 100 years old. Ours might have been smaller than the ones you showed as they were put in the old style light sockets on the tree. Oh the memories. There were 7 of us and I lost 2 brothers in the past two years. Crying happy tears. Thank you for bringing back the memories. Christmas is a little sadder this year.
