CUET FINAL ANSWER KEY RELEASED WITH WRONG ANSWERS.
IS NTA PLAYING WITH THE FUTURE OF CHILDREN?

1 The Booker of Bookers
The winner was Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children which originally won the prize in 1981.
NTA Marked it Satanic Verses.

2 Mahesh Dattani is the first playwright in English to be awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award.
This question is dropped for NO REASON

3 Gundappa Ranganath Viswanath's autobiography is WRIST ASSURED - AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY

And the answer marked by NTA is "Playing It My Way" which is actually the autobiography of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

These three questions have extremely obvious right answers.

DEAR NTA please look into this.

A few concerns regarding the final 'rectified' Answer Key of CUET PG -2022 :
[DOMAIN SECTION, ENGLISH]

1. QBID1011006 - DROPPED, where Mahesh Dattani (OPTION B) should very clearly have been the CORRECT RESPONSE. (You can confirm the same through multiple sources - present both in reliable websites on the internet as well as in books pertaining to the topic)


2. QBID1011036 - OPTION C is MARKED CORRECT

The CORRECT RESPONSE should have been OPTION A (Canibal) since -

i. it is closest to the 'Spanish word caníbal (Carib people), the source of cannibal in English'
{Source : Ward, Adolphus William (1 January 1997). A History of English Dramatic Literature. Atlantic Publishers & Dist. ISBN 9788171566860.}

ii. though the word 'Cannible' means the same as Caníbal, it does NOT fit into the definition of an 'Anagram', which refers to 'a word or phrase formed by rearranging the letters of a different word or phrase, typically using all the original letters exactly once.'

So, while 'Cannible' might be considered a source for the word 'Caliban', it would not qualify as an Anagram of the same.



3. QBID1011039 - OPTION B is MARKED CORRECT

The CORRECT RESPONSE should have been OPTION C, MIDNIGHT'S CHILDREN.

This is so widely-known and so well-documented that it has, by now, become a part of common literary knowledge amongst masses :)



Lastly, this is ATROCIOUS NEGLIGENCE from an authority which has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting a centralised examination at national scale. There should be ZERO TOLERANCE for such petty mistakes, which tamper with the future prospects of students who had no fault of their own.

How it's possible all english language comprehensive question has dual answer,
 I think it's mistake by NTA
