6:31 As a person from the Balkans, I can vouch that the description is accurate :D I have never moved from my country, but I have lived in 4 different countries so far :D

During the lockdown, your videos have been a regular dose of Pulpy cheer in an otherwise dark period. Kudos!

In regards to differing tech levels, there are some parts of the US that still have to use dial up to connect to the internet.

Time for another video to rewatch over and over again

Huh. So the UWP is similar to a car's VIN. Cool!
That means Earth right now is somewhere between a 6 and 7 atmosphere, depending on if you are out in public or not.

Thanks for more RPG review content! I especially like this Traveler series - I had played it back in the 80s and I kinda miss it.

I can confidently say I’ve seen this particular video more than any other video in this series.

I'm not likely to ever play Traveler, but your videos are just so damn entertaining. Keep up the great work.

It may have been decades since I played a Traveller group session, but I can still read the UWP and what the stats mean without reference.

I used to remember all stats and modifiers for weapons and combat from classic Traveller (the three book black box set), too.

Fun times.

so how often do they reach a planet, only to find out parts of the code are out of date, and there are significant issues because of that? I mean... things happen!

I misread the Cogri example as Corgi. And now I am imagining a strange, alien planet plagued ((or blessed)) with a hoard or army of silly herding dogs.

Make of this what you will. 😅

Here on New Vernon, we're a soda code "RC" planet.

What I really like about this mechanic(?) is that it can say a lot about a particular system. Any scale has its default as the assumed or perceived default, so an authoritarian system may have its scale starting at 5 when its really at 10. Additionally, it has a very political angle GMs can exploit to gently tell players the geopolitical or astropolitical affairs without beating the players over the head with it in some lore bible

That tainted atmosphere part seems to have a deeper meaning I can’t quite figure out...

I was hoping for some elaboration on the "insidious" atmosphere since "tainted" seemed to cover most things that spring to mind.

New-ish Traveller GM here. These vids are gold. GOLD, I say. Thanks for keeping them coming.

Remember it's not combat armour.. it's level 4 protective equipment for hunting dangerous critters.. Yes I have a permit...

New Seth, always puts a smile on my face. Just want to say how much i appreciate the amount of work that you put into the writing and technical sides of your vids but also the delivery and performance. Cheers!

One thing I wish science fiction games covered were the other planets in the system. Very informative. Nicely done, as always.
