A great live performance of this classic by The Mills Brothers, with John Williams conducting THe Boston Pops.

I see my comment from five years back is still there and my sentiments are still the same, except deeper with five years more of heartfelt feelings under my belt. I wish these men were still alive so I could thank them for their music. 🙂🙏

Got to back up the mills at Beverly hills show place in Cincinnati on drums what a thrill . In 68 when rock and roll ruled they blew everyone out of the water with cab driver. Unbelievable.

In 1962 I had the opportunity to see the Mills Brothers perform in Detroit, MI at Cobo Hall. Didn’t really know much about them, and really didn’t expect to like them, but I came away with a deep appreciation for the level of talent these gentlemen had, and their outstanding performance that evening. I’ve been a fan since that evening, and admire their ability to take a 17 year old, rock-n-roll loving young guy, and show him what is great music and talent. Forever a fan!

With the internet we can see all their history. Only hope there’s more and more that will surface.
They were great influencers…Dean Martin, among the singers who were moved by their artistry.

The Mills Brothers, pure Americana… revered by all.

Heaven bound…with thanks from every audience member.

Cool. The Mills Brothers. Now this is real music. Just think i wasn't even born when this music came out. I was born in the mid 70s. My late grandma played the Mills Brothers, Sinatra, Como & Nat King Cole

There was noone as awesome as the Mills Brothers. Which of course included their father once one of the brothers died early on. I was born in 64, discovered an eight track tape of theirs around 1974 and learned all their songs by heart, which I always had a hard time learning the words to rock and roll songs...but not the Mills Brothers songs. Beautiful lyrics. Each of my three daughters, the VERY FIRST SONG they each heard was, "daddy's little girl" sung by these perfect musicians. I made sure they heard that song before any other, once they were born. Maybe I'm weird but now they are 29, 27, and 22. And they are still my little girls, tho I treat them like adults!! They still are sweet to me. It worked!! 😀. God bless all who see this and I humbly suggest you listen to the Mills Brothers a lot so you can have brain and nerve happiness! 🙏

Maybe we can help unearth anything that’s not yet digitized, their music and what appeared in print.

Mills Brothers were away from U.S just as war broke lit.
It was many months before they could get back.

Library of Congress can refer.

If we love them, and we do, let’s find and post. They’d have been featured on any variety show, only a few appear on YT.
