This is good physical therapy for him.... but at the same time he has to realize that this is a first step into getting back

Rome wasn't built in a day, and your hand recovering 100% won't happen in a day either. One step at a time, one day at a time. Keep working at it, it will come. My husband had a hand injury (the air shocks in his trunk gave out and crushed his hand) surgeon told him he'd probably have 10% use of his dominant hand. He has 98% use, but it took a lot of exercise, a lot of patience, a lot of time. Your fan base and your family isn't going anywhere, we're behind you all the way!

My dad cut his fingers with a chainsaw awhile back and this was literally him struggling for years and even now there are things that he struggles with. Just comes with time and a lot of therapy.

It’s so frustrating. I am a baker too, and I was in an accident and ended up breaking and dislocating my shoulder. I can’t do the things I used to be able to, no matter how hard I try and love doing it. I feel for you buddy. One step at a time.

My heart feels for Buddy. I’ve watched him since I was very young and always wanted to try his cakes and pastries. I’m glad he is doing better and hope he continues to make a full recovery. In my thoughts always Buddy!

I think being back in the bakery will help his mental health and motivation and possibly help with his hand to recover (working the muscles to get back the strength and mobility), I just hope he takes it slow so he doesn’t injure his hand further. There’s nothing wrong with taking it slow, small progress is still progress. He has all the support in the world, we love you!!

oh my gosh, he looks like he’s in a lot of pain. he really shouldn’t be doing this stuff so soon after what happened

Mr. Buddy, give your self grace. It is hard following an accident. There are always 2 injuries in an accident like yours. The physical injury and the one you can't see. It hursts just as much and also takes a long time to heal. Take care, friend.

Don't give up Buddy!
I had a friend of mine who wasn't the brightest bulb in the pack however the best piece of advice I ever got after injuring myself was this:
Baby steps.
God bless you and remember...You are the cake boss. You have a fan base that supports you and you are well loved by your family.
Anything else is pure gravy.

“Healing takes time” speaks increased volumes of transparency. Attempting to expedite the healing process may only hinder progress.

Similarly, I attended physical therapy after a painful fall from sprinting down a flight of stairs.

Buddy, I hope you feel well soon! ☺️

Give yourself time, Buddy. Even with total right knee from a total dislocation 20 years ago (all ligaments had to be replaced, repair to medial meniscus, and knee cap and tendon realigned with knee cap shaved, which now replacement is suggested) I have limitations. It may take a while for full recovery. Best words of wisdom I have ...stay positive, take it slow and gradual, keep moving to promote range of motion. Remember you can only do what you can do. Very relieved you had someone there at time of the accident, a great loving supportive family (hard to find and tested at times too), and the advances in medicine. Even with the best surgeon I have, I also keep in mind, with advanced medicine what they do is a miracle, an art but one still may not be 100% completely normal. I know it's hard, very tough but be patient. You got this!!

I am disabled with bilateral antecubital compression and at my weakest grip strength decided I would learn how to make chain mail. I used aluminum rings of course and used a LOT of bad words, but you know, two years later I can open most jars myself. My hands will never be what they used to be, but I find different ways of doing things that come hard for me-within reason that is. I'm now training my own service dog (8 mo old Border Collie pup) because I drop things a lot and a few other reasons, but you get my drift. Don't give up, Buddy! You can do it!
