Let’s be honest, dodgy concrete in schools is the least of parents concerns.

The country has turned into a carry on film. Schools collapsing, i cant get a blood test for a month, cameras being destroyed, protests everywhere, everyones begging for global warming because they cant afford the heating, boys dressed in girls school uniforms and everyone running around shouting "iv been offended, iv been offended" carry on britain.

I believe a labour politician has been asking questions about this for the last two years. And then there are the prisons, police stations, court buildings, etc etc. and the Tories have known about it for years, and done nothing.

Old Victorian schools are not the problem. They have indeed stood the test of time and still stand strong. It is the lazy corner cutting done during 60s and onwards that have become an issue

It's "funny" how the news reports are showing now, when the ITV report includes footage of a Headteacher being interviewed DURING SCHOOL TIME WITH PUPILS ... indicating it was likely done before schools closed for summer holidays!
This story was on timed release. It isn't new news

The Chinese know how to treat the people who build to these standards 🤔
Remember the building collapses in Italy because Mafia had skimped on materials to take their cut...but it's different in the UK right?

Why now??....get ready for the retrain of remote learning. Further alarmist news. I don't believe for a second that this is true.

So many of us grown up in Victorian / Georgian well built schools that have stiff the test of time, but then we began using short 30 yr life concrete (including my secondary school which was knocked down 10 yrs back and replaced with an apartment block ) we expecting the worlds end as all the flats going up looking similar life span ??

This 'faulty' concrete only has a life span of around 30 years

Remember all governments say how cheap can this job be done, what is the lowest tender and never how well can we do something.

Who authorised the use of short term life span concrete?

Reminds me of the 'High Alumina' situation in public buildings a few decades ago....the concrete alchemists do like to play with the mix....

Maybe we could convert hotel rooms into classrooms so the kids don’t miss out on school
