Показать описание
Hello again! This episode is all about Max Weber and his views on Stratification and Differentiation. Weber can be tricky to get your head around, so in this episode I’ve attempted to break down some of his key concepts that you’ll come across in the your GCSE Sociology exams.
In this video, I cover the following things:
- Weber’s views on stratification – Class, Status, Power (party) – 1:25 – 7:39
- Comparing Weber’s views on Stratification with Marx’s – 7:40 – 11:32
- Power, Social Control and Authority – 11:33 – 16:26
- Weber’s views on authority – 16:27 – 19:46
- 10 key terms to know about Weber’s view stratification: Identity, Class, Market Position, Status, Power/Party, Social Control, Authority, Tradition, Charismatic, Rational-legal – 19:47 – 22:59
- A word on exams, with a 2 mark and 4 mark question and answer – 23:00 – 26:46
- Recap and Outro – 26:47 – 29:19
The video is aimed at GCSE Sociology Eduqas students but will also be useful as a recap to those studying different exam boards, e.g. AQA Sociology and/or those studying at a higher level, particularly if you’re newer to the subject.
Stratification and Differentiation is a huge topic and will also be the focus of my next few videos, so keep an eye out for those coming soon…
