Recently I've been reading the Tensura LNs and I'm on volume 17. It's a collection of stories from the perspectives of other characters while it takes a bit of a break from the main story.

So chapter 2 is about Velgrynd's journey to find the fragments of her beloved's shattered soul. Her journey takes her across space and time. She helps out small civilizations at the will of whoever has a soul fragment for as long as they live before making a leap through time. Yada yada, the world is at war, and it turns out each small town or settlement she helped became a nation.

The enemy is called Yohma, they are aliens invading the world and taking possession of humans in order to conquer it. Instead of causing natural disasters or plagues, they simply possessed humans that were politicians or nobles, sons of emperors or secret service agents.

Their goal is to conquer the entire dimension, but the only one they couldn't have possibly accounted for was the True Dragon of Flame, Velgrynd.

The fifth wave has romance instead of dragons so it looses out but I honestly cannot stop thinking about how the Yohma are similar to the aliens in the Fifth Wave. From the enhanced, nearly superhuman abilities to the consciousness of the possessed seeping back in, trying to fight for control of their own bodies as the war rages on

The 5th wave in every single video I press they show an ad about it so it doesn't persuade them to watch it but annoy them and frustrate them and I know a lot of people will never ever watch this movie
