Wan being the only Avatar who knew what it was like to never have bending gave him a unique idea of what it meant to struggle overcome adversity. The strength and courage Wan displayed set a great example for his successors to follow

I would call Wan "bold" more than I would "brave." In order to be brave, you must first be afraid and then overcome said fear. Wan was willing to take risks, but he rarely showed fear during his risk taking.

its crazy how when they are reborn they have evolved their personality to what they weren't doing good in there previous lives which make them all wisdom even though korra lost her previous lives she still has the experience of her past live and just imagine her next live that avatar will have such a power boost because of korra making the rava stronger when the merged angain

watching this i realized that in both avatar shows, they include something about how humans learned to bend, i think that they got there bending from the lion turtles, but developed the forms and mastered it as best as they could from, dragons, badermols and flying bison (and what ever tought the water bender, i'm not 100 % sure on what it was.)

What really tells you he was the greatest avatar was every avatar after him had to embody all his traits for the reincarnation too happen. Think about that, think about the fact that he was so influential and gave such balance to the world his essence became essential to the peace, strength, understanding, love within the world. This was such a good part of season two. I thought it was a good parallel to how Korra is undoing the traditions of the avatar. Also the animation was amazing.

I love the consistency of the order of the elements. Fire was the first element Wan got, air was the second, water was the third, and earth was the fourth and last, and this is what started the order of which type of bender would become the Avatar after their predecessor.

my one issue is that 10k years is too short for THAT MANY avatars, think about it, let's say the average avatar lives for 100 years, divide 100 by 10k and what do you get well its pretty simple 100, but look at the chamber of statues of avatars, there were thousands spiraling up to a void. so 10k years doesn't make sense, also fuck the writers for making Korra restart the avatar cycle, AND LET HER REGAIN THE CONNECTION GODDAMNIT
