Got a new construction house, AC is set to 75, temp is reading 69. It’s been high 70s, low 80s where I’m at the past couple of days, AC has never turned on. Just got the house so AC hasn’t been on. What could the issue be?

Thermostat like anything else do fail and with the electronic ones it can be hard to tell sometimes. Ours appeared to be working fine but it turned out to not be reading temps correctly. It would go up fine but when it came to going down it had a problem and after 10 min a fridge that was 4 degrees it only made it to 18.

Thank you for this good info. My issue is, the thermostat is just stuck at 70. Weather air or heat. It’s turning off and on with Auto while on heat. I just can’t change the temperature.

My rubbery button to increase the heat temperature doesn't work... Its blank. I have new batteries & the other button works to lower the heat. Therefore I get no heat. ????
