As a Greek guy i have to say that the American culture has affected us too. To be honest what you describe, your everyday life, how girls are thinking and interacting is the same here. Its called "the west" or as i call it "The American empire".
We are part of it.
Dont think because you met a woman that impressed you that in an other country things are different.
Maybe in China, Japan, Egypt and the Arabian world things are, but everything is directly affected by America.

In Greece we have a calling "Everything that happens in America, it comes here after 4-5 years" and its true. I met my amazing girlfriend in a park ! We've been together for 2 years, we went through a semester of long distance (I was studying abroad in Barcelona) and we're moving in together this summer !
