I may have played a ton of Undertale, but this is still one of my most confusing mistakes yet

Yeah, I can see why. It's mostly because of darker shade of blue. cyan usually means "Freeze" because of undertale, and blue means "Shoot" from deltarune, and since his soul wasn't yellow he got confused

It wasn't just you, don't worry.
I simply didn't put it together that those paintbrushes were blue attacks.

You're not alone, I literally had this same confusion when I played the game and only figured it out when my friends pointed it out.

It might be due to it being a different shade of blue, and messing with muscle memory

All you need to remember is a blue stopsign and you will be fine

* here's an easy way to
keep it in mind.

* imagine a stop sign.
* when you see a stop
sign, you stop, right?

* stop signs are red.
* so imagine a blue stop
sign instead.

* simple, right?
* when fighting, think
about blue stop signs.

* remember...
* blue stop signs.

To be fair, in the Spamton NEO fight, the blue attacks are shootables with the yellow SOUL.

Bold move to bring back the Insane Cultists from Earthbound as an Undertale boss but I gotta respect it.
