Blood in the stool or from any orifice in the body, any hole in the body without any known cause is a cause of concern. You should not simply keep quiet because it has stopped whether it is from the nose or it is from the anal canal. So blood in the stool has to be investigated for the cause of it and then it will make a proper diagnosis and whether surgical medical whatever treatment has to be given because it may not be only from piles or fissures. It may be even cancer of the rectum or anal canal. So it should not be neglected. You should be investigated. But should we rush to the hospital? It depends on the severity of bleeding. If it's one or two drops of blood you can consult a nearby doctor then a specialist if required whereas if it is severe bleeding then of course you have to rush to the hospital as early as possible because it can be life-threatening and dangerous.
