Όπως αναφέρουν τα ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, και με πληροφορίες από την τουρκική Daily Sabah και το πρακτορείο ειδήσεων Anadolu, ο Γερμανός υπουργός Εξωτερικών Χάικο Μάας, δήλωσε στο Γερμανικό Πρακτορείο Ειδήσεων, ότι: "Δεν θεωρώ ότι το αίτημα για εμπάργκο όπλων εναντίον της Τουρκίας, είναι στρατηγικά σωστό."

According to the Greek media, and with information from the Turkish Daily Sabah and the Anadolu news agency, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas told the German News Agency: "I do not find the demand of an arms embargo against Turkey strategically correct."
