We ventured into the Utah countryside to visit some of the best loved Land Art works of the 1970s, Robert Smithson's Spiral Jetty and Nancy Holt's Sun Tunnels, and check out the art that is happening there now. Also featured: William Lamson's Mineralogy, The Center for Land Use Interpretation, and lots and lots of salt.

Thanks to our Grandmaster of the Arts Indianapolis Homes Realty, and all of our patrons, especially Lawrence Abrahamson, Patrick Hanna, M12 Studio, Robert Rupp, and Constance Urist.

I grew up in the SLC area and yet I was nearly 29 before visiting Spiral Jetty. I spent this past New Year’s Eve night there and was overwhelmed with joy at the experience even though it was only lit by the moon. My wife and I walked barefoot in the cold sand. Not talking. Just walking. It was wonderful.

I live around the area this was filmed. It is kind of crazy to see landscapes that I take for granted so beautifully captured. It makes me appreciate what I have

It's amazing to see the mountains I look at every day portrayed in the background of some of the most incredible works of art in Utah recorded with such beauty and care. It used to be my dream to leave Utah after highschool, but I look around at all the incredible and unexpected art and scenery here and it's videos like this that make it so difficult to leave. I enjoyed it so much, thank you

Thanks for taking the time to come out to my home state and sharing the beauty of land art. I work in Box Elder County so I heard lots about Nancy Holt over the years.

There's so much more going on in here than I'd have guessed just looking at a list or even pics of these installations. Thank you. Those sun tunnels! Wow.

Not only are the videos deeply informative, they are beautiful as well, and not only because they describe beautiful objects.

The sun tunnels are my favorite as a utahn because most people here don't know about them. They are so simple and beautiful but so empty for 363 days of the year. The other 2 days people visit for one fleeting moment as the sun rises or sets, so 4 times a year it seems, people care about them. The rest of the year they are constant, and I love to visit them

Wow! Thanks for teaching me about these moving and beautiful installations in a place I wouldn't have thought to look for them!! I feel a roadtrip calling me. Also the photography and editing of this video is particularly stunning.

I live here & love living here. This roadtrip is a summer bucket list item. It's a fascinating contrast between desert & mountains.

This is an amazingly beautiful video! Spiral jetty and Sun Tunnels are some of my favorite pieces of art to talk about with my students at BYU (when I'm a TA for Interdisciplinary Humanities classes). It's art that you can climb on and through and over and it's a road trip away, so go see it! We were planning on making some sort of trip out to the Salt Flats next month and this gave us the perfect guide. Thank you so much for featuring Utah! I'm so excited to see more from this channel! It's one of my absolute favorites.
