Well I'm glad God put David in charge of the Oxygen switch. Since he's a man who doesn't fiddle with buttons.

Aw, Tess. It's like one of us made it to the actual show lol. That was very endearing.

Rewatched this again just to see Tess do the best bit of logic anyone ever has on WILTY ever.

They should have a follow up to this in a future episode with David reading a card that says “I have figured out what the red switch does”.

Some people just present a story and then try to trick the others into guessing if it's true or not by acting. I love how David does none of that, he just gives you a silly story and you have to base all your assumptions on "is that something David would do?".

I don't know who the blond girl is, but I absolutely love that she shows that she's been watching the show long before her own appearance on it and can actually use that knowledge to make sense of David.^^

I’ve watched David MItchell lie and not lie about things every night before bed for the last 2 months, please never run out of these

Like how Lee played along and asked “how do you know?” When Des asked it even though he knows why

I love the way David says "I've gone *near* it..."

Has he never had Robert Webb over? He strikes me as a man who would flip a mystery switch in your home the second you look away.

In addition to this and the doorknob story, there was another true story about his parents making him renovate the kitchen. He clearly doesn't pay his flat much mind, and I think it would be funny for the writers to throw in some lies along that theme (much the way they give him hilarious lies to tell about being posh)

My parent's house has a strange switch on the basement ceiling beside the staircase. It is in a sideways position so you can't tell if it is in an on or off position. As a child I always wondered about it and occasionally switched it to see if anything would happen and then switched it back again. One day I switch it and left it without switching it back and the heat in our house shut off. Considering it was winter in the Canadian prairies, my mom was not too happy about my switch fiddling.

The problem I now have is that I want to know what the damn switch does... someone go over there with a screwdriver and open up the panel and see what it's connected to!

Those are usually old central heating boiler switches. We had one in our old house.

i've seen clips of this story so many times and never seen the result and i dont know why i was surprised that it was true. of course david has a bright red switch behind his television that he refuses to switch on. of course he does.

2:38 Lee pretend to ask her "how do you know?” 😂😂😂

I have no doubt that David can't use a screwdriver, so him avoiding a mystery switch isn't much of a stretch.

I have a random key hole with a key in it on my wall, in my flat which I've lived in for 3 years but haven't touched, but it does have tape on it saying leave alone and I'm renting.
