Flame Arresters & The Deflagration To Detonation Transition (DDT) Explained

Показать описание
The Deflagration to Detonation Transition (DDT) is the most severe phase of a pipeline explosion, which can generate flame speeds of up to 3000m/s and high pressures, over 100bar. The Elmac Technologies® Deflagration Flame Arrester (or 'Spark Arrester' & 'Flame Trap') is designed to stop the initial phase of an explosion, usually caused by the ignition of a flammable gas mixture within a pipe.

Seems like that principle could be used to detonate high explosives with a deflagrating low explosive under sufficient pressure to create a ddt.
