Good, open with sensible rules or pay people to stay closed

I myself wanted to sue the state of Oregon, but for much different reasons. Funny thing is I pay my rent as fast as I can because I can, and my landlord is great. This surely is a no win situation for everyone. How can you pay rent when working has been all but banned? How can you pay your mortgage and upkeep when renter don’t pay ? Something has to give for sure. I’ve noticed that apt. Complexes are burning 🔥. Do you think they know if tenets can’t or won’t pay insurance companies will? I no longer live in Oregon, just couldn’t handle the corruption, and craziness anymore. Life is so much better where there is reason.

On 2/25/21 a Federal judge ruled that the Fed's eviction moratorium was unconstitutional. It, along with Oregon's rent holiday, is a clear violation of the 5th Amendment's prohibition against gov't taking property with just compensation.

Just like all the other court challenges across the country, this lawsuit will go no where.

What is he supposed to do? He has bills too. Is this eviction moratorium protecting him from the banks? From loosing everything? It isn't his responsibility to take care of people who can't take care of themselves. The Government has housing for that.

The eviction moratorium does not mean that people don't have to pay rent at all, it's only intended to protect renters by giving them more time to pay. If there are people out here that have been living rent free for the last 10 months that's a problem. Landlord's should have the ability to evict if their tenants are not even trying to stay caught up. What are they going to do when the moratorium ends and they have 90 days to get caught up?
