Researchers in Brazil are investigating the use of a toxic spider venom in a drug to treat erectile dysfunction. They developed a synthetic molecule using certain properties of the spider's poison to create a gel claiming to treat erectile dysfunction. The drug is currently undergoing promising clinical trials.

I heard about a story in Austria where one of these was roaming around in a store. It bit a few people and made them painfully hard and unfortunately, they could not catch the spider and the spider escaped.
