Id have a nightmare trying to figure out teammates from opposition.

Goalies can have a lot of energy, enough to excell at a game after being many games between the posts. Their unorthodox technique but experience under stress can do wonders in amateur football. So for a goalkeeper that has decent football skills its not weird to excell at an occasional game playing as a striker. They're large/tall, strong, have decent coordination/positioning and technique.

I was playing keeper in an absolute blow out game. It was 5-0 our team. Obviously, I wasn’t seeing a lot of action.

So coach decides in the last ten minutes to take me out and put me in striker. I hadn’t played a non GK position in years.

Lad I had to come out in a tournament the other day because we only had 9 players (9 aside) and one of them got injured so I had to come out and play left back I hated it so bad i was sweating 🥵 tired I even had to take me top of and lie down on the floor and felt so bad for the outfield players coz they have to do it all the time so if you read this and you play out go on goal and keepers like me stay in goal.
