🤣 CPU pins as a hairbrush. Nick, you are a kindred spirit in the humor department. Hilarious!

I have sold over a dozen retro computers in the last few months.. 2 wfw 3.11, 3 win 95, 4 win 98se, 5 win xp. plus some games and software.. to me they are more fun to build than todays. The search for drivers, dealing with old hardware settings, ect.. so much fun ..

Honestly one of the most interesting, different, enjoyable bits of PC content I've watched on YouTube in such a long time!! 🍻

I was a tad too young at the time to mess with hardware of the era, but definitely remember my old man playing around with it, which peaked my interest in computers from a young age.

it reminds me back in those days my Voodoo 5 6000...a long and sick GPU. So much fun watching this. Waiting for the next round

This video brought me so many childhood memories! The mid 90´s was such a nice era to be a gamer!!

Lost count of the number of these machines I built back then. Used to hate splitting the IDE cable to round them so that there was some relatively decent airflow from the 80mm fans mounted at front & rear of the cases. Wrapping insulting tape around all the PSU cables to loom them. 2MB S3 Virge cards with SlI’d Voodoo2 cards or if you wanted the creme de la creme, a 4MB Matrox Mystique or Millenium! Abit BP6 with duel Celeron’s overclocked whilst keeping your fingers crossed that the capacitors around the power delivery didn’t go pop (the original Celeron’s were great when overclocked especially if you used an OS that supported SMP on the BP6 - most used W2K as it supported some games but not great support due to DX not being great under the old NT kernels then). I miss those days….

Best video today. I look forward to the rest of the build. Long time PC user who purchased a 486 SX (with the turbo boost button) that pre-dates your PC by several years. I had a Voodoo card, Mitsumi ROM drive with The 7th Guest and a card that backed up files to VHS!

one of the best things about building one of these is searching for the best parts of that time and building the monster of that day..

My strongest memory of Win 95-era PCs is playing Myst in the library back in primary school. Computers were completely new to me and the Win 95 boot sound alone was both mysterious and intriguing.

Man, this video brings back so many memories! I'm only 31, but recognize some of the internals of that PC. Mainly the Pentium CPU and IDE ribbon cables and drives.

Our first "family PC" back when I was little was a Gateway (pretty sure) on Windows 95. That Energy Star boot screen is really familiar lol.

Amazing video dude, remember my first PC very close spec to this. The days of the old voodoo cards, reminds my of playing Star Wars rogue squadron on a voodoo 3. Keep them coming dude.

I love this project. This reminds me of our old PC, which had very similar specs, same CPU and memory. I wish the sound card could be replaced with a SoundBlaster card from the era, but this is a great project for really old school gamers like us. Great job Gear Seekers!!

aww man. so much nostalgia here. my first computer was a Dell computer with a Pentium 233mhz. I remember playing quake and half life with it and then once i picked up a 3DFX Voodoo3, my mind was blown at how much better and nicer it ran with an actual 3D card LOL.

Isn't that PC a vibe, some of the best days of gaming back in those days. Well I was still gaming on a 486 with Windows 3.1. Nice cup holder btw :D Fantastic video fams.
