this was very helpful. I played 3 games with this opening as white and won all of them!! Even though I know 3 games isn't a lot it was really fun to use this opening and I plan on making it my main opening for white.

Lots of great tips! I'm always worried about Black's knight on b4, attacking e3.but a knight on e5 solves that problem!

Next week I'm visiting my friend who has been playing this opening the past year and kicking my ass with it, so I'm studying up to learn how to fight back. Throng's Gambit seems like my style. Thank you!

1.f4 d5 2.Nf3 c5 3.b3 Nc6 4.Bb2 e6 5.Bb5 Bd7 6.O-O f6 plan Bd6; Nge7; O-O and I wish White good luck preventing Black from playing ...e5 in the long run.

The importance of controlling e5 all needs to be hammered into my head. But the extreme flexibility of this opening makes it really fun. That is, after you learn a few very important lines. Because if you don't learn then, well, I accidentally got checkmated in 5 moves.

I love this stuff! Very good quality.

One question, when you play the bishop to trade off the knight, what happens if your opponent preemptively plays the A pawn to stop it?

Just discovered your channel. Most underrated chess YouTuber. Currently studying your 50 minute Vienna video piece by piece. Amazing content.

Do you have a video on a good defense system to use against the birds opening? 🍻

What if during the from's gambit they don't go d3 on their second move but immediately go Qh4+?

This is my main opening as white now, thank you. Most people are thrown off and don't know how to respond. I often get a free rook with my black bishop too

might try this, getting tired of grinding Jobava London, but its just so good.

This is actually my preferred opening and no one really talks about it, it’s very effective in my opinion.

This opening looks like a disaster movie. I think I'll consider playing it.

Awesome video of some lines, I play this opening often, as it throws many players off but I prefer to play B3 as the second move, then continue with Nf3 this is because if black plays G6 they can get their bishop into G7 before white and steal that diagonal.
