I hid from my retriever at a bonfire a couple years ago to see his reaction. What I saw was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. He ignored everyone who tried to pet him or talk to him and he nervously zigzagged until he finally saw me. He charged towards me and greeted me like I was gone the whole day. At that moment, I already knew I'd die for this dog. 🧡
