Half of my tomatoes are growing in fabric pots. The first wave, Super Sweet 100 are loaded with flowers and fruit, some of which is turning red. My second wave, Sun Gold, Black Cherry, Sunrise Bumble Bee, and Brandywine are doing well. My garden is rapidly transitioning to summer crops, New Zealand spinach, kale, zinnias, pole beans cucumbers, peppers, squash, tomatoes, and herbs. I am begging neighbors and family to harvest the last of my Swiss Chard. In about a week, I'll harvest my turnips ending my cool weather crops.

Kim your tip on tomato trellising Is awesome I would of never thought of putting a shade cloth or something like that to slide a cage over the top of your tomato plant I well definitely remember that the next time I need to use a trellis

Wish I would have thought of wrapping my tomato plant before I put a cage over it! Great idea.

I LOVE the idea of wrapping your tomato plants before installing the cages. It would have been interesting to see how you unwrapped them without harming the leaves after the cage was installed. I noticed that part was left out. I hope not too many leaves were damaged just trying to remove the wrapping from the tomato while inside the cage! I hope it went smoothly.
