Fun fact: Tortoises can feel things happening to the outside of their shells, this helps them protect them from getting stuck and their shells from damage. It also make it so you can actually pet them on their shell, I highly recommend. 😃
Not so fun side effect: Because they can feel anything on the outside of their shell, standing or riding on them can hurt them. 😟
