The trouble with Win 10, is that it's not always obvious an update download is happening, as I recently discovered. In my case, I was using Skype and it suddenly froze and I couldn't do anything with it; not even close Skype, so I had no choice but to 'Kill' my laptop. It was only after I rebooted, I discovered the corrupted download. Thankfully, I was able to use a recent Restore Point and then repeated the update. I still have no idea what caused Skype to freeze in mid conversation.

Had update issues in the past, but now I pause any new updates 5 weeks. Then install just before the 2nd Tuesday of the month and repeate. Don't know if it helps but before installing any Win updates. I do a SFC scan to fix any potential corrupt file issues. Thanks for all your help!
