Shopping in Spanish (Essential Shopping Phrases, Vocabulary, and More)

Learn how to go shopping in Spanish. We’ll cover how to ask if you can try something on, the most important phrases for making a purchase, and how to handle some confusing situations. You’ll learn all of this and more in the context of real-world situations while shopping at stores in Mexico.

In the first section, May goes into a store just to look around and finds a blouse she likes. In this first conversation, you’ll learn phrases you can use when you are just browsing a store and how to ask about trying things on and fitting rooms.

Next, May is looking for two identical dresses. She finds the dresses after going through the different options at the store and buys them. In this section, you’ll hear all the most important phrases for making a purchase from the moment to go into the store until you are paying for your items.

In the last section, we talk about confusing situations that tripped Jim up when he was first learning Spanish. We go over the phrases and give you tips on how you can get yourself out of any confusing situation while shopping in Spanish.
