Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 One Week Later!

Today lets check out how the brand new Samsung Z Flip 6 is holding up after about a week of use!

I just upgraded my teenage daughter from an iPhone to the new Z-Flip 6. We went into a Samsung showroom so I could see some of the new gear and she took one look at the Z-Flip and asked if she could switch over. It happened just like the commercials and at first, I thought she was kidding me since she's always had an iPhone as do all of her friends. BTW, she loves it!

I got the silver because it reminds me of a gameboy advance sp and a nice portable music player at the same time. I was born early 80's so after being facinated by flip phones for ages im thrilled to have this one 😊. And whenever i need a full fledged smartphone experience i simply unfold it 😊

My flip 6 has been a gamechanger. Been on iOS since leaving Blackberry, but was so tired of the black hole of apps/social media and not being able to carry my phone easily in my pocket (lady pants suck). The flip fits in my FRONT pants pocket and has turned my phone from a tool I'm forced to use as part of society into something fun again.

Coming from a Flip 4, the 6 is a decent upgrade. With the pre-orders, trade-ins, and vouchers, it was too good a deal to pass up. The only things I wish it had in terms of existing technology are 120hz cover screen and 1TB storage.

Got the same one and the silver. However, I’m keeping the crafted black. I like that the “bezel” is no longer that shiny plastic. A lot of people want to compare it to the motorola but since Motorola offers no trade in deals, it’s Samsung for me.

I have a Flip 5 and I love it. I've used Samsung's trade in program to upgrade every year since the Flip 3. I found the offer this year to just not be worth it. Last year I traded in my Flip 4 for $900, got a preorder bonus offer, and received the Flip 5 for only $44. This year with a $650 trade in and a price increase on the 6, you're looking at around $400. I couldn't justify it this year for the small improvements. But I do think the 6 looks like a great phone.

I had a really hard time deciding between this and the Razr, but in my country the Razr was more expensive, had zero bundles and considering that Moto's software support sucks, it was a no brainer. But the front screen looked sooo good.

My friend ended up getting one Razr and I do not regret my Z Flip 6 one bit. One thing no one tells you about the Razr is that camers obstruck the screen and when you put the black bar below to avoid it, that screen is SMALLER than the one in the Flip. And the refresh rate is barely noticeable in such a small screen too. It is a beautiful phone for sure, but in real usability the are pretty much the same, while the Razr is taller which makes it a bit harder to manuever.

Performance is amazing, cameras are way better than youtubers make of them, and battery life is great! My only gripe is that using a Samsung 45W charger I can charge this phone from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes, but the other 20% takes a complete hour... so I stuck with the 80% limit and charge a second time during the day if I need to. I come from a S23U and this phone charged at 100% is equivalent to my Ultra limited to 80%, which normally ended the day at 30%, so I haven't felt a downgrade in the battery section. I also own a Z Flip 3 and the crease improved A LOT. I would say the 6's crease is 95% as good as the Razr's, it's more noticeable only in extremely harsh sunlight conditions. Everywhere else, the are almost non existent and on par.

is anyone else contemplating this or the normal s24 in the 256 variant with carrier offers/samsung site discounts? Kinda wish they had brought DEX with the Gen 6 flip, its the one thing that has saved my ass more times than my family with primarily iphones would care to admit when they needed government forms signed or when the yearly lease came around.

I am a content creator and influencer as well. I just got one of these and haven’t opened it up because I’m nervous. I have been on iPhone since 2012 I create content on pro max and been locked into the Apple ecosystem. This phone intrigued me and I want to make it my daily driver. Do you feel it’s possible ?
