Blender Tutorial - Easy Handwriting Animation

Показать описание
In this blender tutorial we will be simulating handwriting in Blender 2.81! To achieve this we will be adding in some text and recreating that text using curves. From there we animate an object following that curve while drawing on a plane using dynamic paint. If none of that made sense just watch the video. Who reads descriptions anyways.

Forgot to mention that If you don't see the Image Sequence node make sure you have the Node Wrangler addon turned on in the User Preferences.

There's also this option to convert text to curves. Select your text, press F3 and type Convert to and select the option Convert to mesh. That should give you the option to convert it into curves.

This has to be one of the best and most complete blenders tutorials I've seen in a long time, well done!!! Really useful :D

You could just use blender's draw curve tool to create curve on top of text. That would resemble more to the hand drawn text. At the end you may have to do some point pulling. But it helps to create base form faster.

Actually, it would have been extremely easy to just use Grease Pencil with build modifier. (Or Draw, idk)

Just scale curve to 0 on Z.
Should be one-sided.

You could have also just traced the font with the grease pencil and then converted that trace to a curve by right clicking :)

Thanks a lot! Didn't know those methods, so it's very helpful! I used another method for an animation and it was kind of annoying. So thanks again!

With automatic keyframe input, you may be able to move the dynamic paint brush!

Very helpful video !! Is it possible to attach a pencil as the lines are drawn, to simulate that a artist holding a pencil is drawing. something similar to pencilmation videos

The font looks much better than a simple curve. How to make the font appear along as is were being written?

2. You can set the Fill Type or scale the Path to 0 on the Z axis to make it flat
3. For the image sequence i would use jpg, you just need a Black and White mask and jpg is not that memory heavy.
4. You need to set the resolution of the Dynamic paint higher or blur the sequence to hide the aliasing effect (7:59 )
5. You could also juse the build modifire by converting the curve to a mesh

just my ideas to the topic, thanks for the tutorial

Hi, I'm trying to find a way to make the canvas object 100% transparant..and then "write" on it.. ?

I actually do the same scene. My problem is: I see the Bezier Curve behind my text. How can I change this the way, that I see it on top of the text? Thank you for the good tutorial.
