The Moffat Road Part 2 | Winter Park to Glenwood Springs

Показать описание
Originally released on DVD in 2013, take a tour of Union Pacific's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision in Colorado between the west portal of the 6.2 mile-long Moffat Tunnel at Winter Park and Glenwood Springs. Coal trains dominate the scene with plenty of high horsepower diesels on the head-end, middle, and rear. Travel through the depths of Gore Canyon to the lofty heights of the Craig Branch. See why the Rio Grande called this the "scenic line of the world."

Wow words can't describe how amazing how much footage you and your team has captured back in 2012. Its hard to believe that this was eleven years ago. The scenery is just breath taking & never gets old. Outstanding job and keep up with the hard work.

Is it just me or does the BNSF power always look cleaner and in better shape than the UP. Maybe they have more train washes around. 🤷‍♂️. Great videos from ya’ll. Thank you

I rode this route in both directions on the California Zephyr, westbound in late summer and again eastbound around Thanksgiving a few years later. The pace is leisurely, the scenery magnificent. And I'd do it again. Wonderful video.

Glad you made it to Crater. I lived in Steamboat and mostly stuck to between P burg and Craig based on whether or not a train was going my way. Made a couple of pilgrimages to Crater, not much traffic but did score, unforgettable. Biggest regret is not sneaking on at Pburg and riding over Toponas into Bond, get eyes on THAT.

Excellent photography job/detailed train 🚂 map. Enabling viewers to better understand what the orator is describing. Noticed graffiti on both box and tanker cars. Perhaps the artists are seeing 👀their creations -?😲😲. Jimmy Rogers the " Singing Break Men "was a genuine break men. Till changing careers to a singing entertainer 🎸🎶 ( 1926 thru 1933 ) most memorable song " Break Man's Blues ".😭. Enjoying this presentation from the comfort zone of my computer room. Along the "Space Coast" 🚀 of Florida 🐊🐊. Wishing viewers & train care a /healthy/prosperous (2024)🌈🎉😉.
