The IIHS has just changed their side impact test parameters. Higher speed and a different barrier. Some 2022 mid-sized SUVs did not fare very well. Their video is available for more details.

Some rear ended me on one of those long ramps, they were going 70mph they didn’t even notice that it was a red light and hit me but my tailgate was just bent a bit because they hit the tow hook and their brand new corvette was totaled

I would like to see this test performed on the Deserthawk trim package, which has steel rock rails to protect the rocker panels from damage. I'm curious if that added steel would improve the performance.

They should do the tests on those hideous highlighter green and orange ones. I have a 2015 Trailhawk. Its really solid and I feel safer than many other cars.

Actually the Renegade does better then most. I am a Police officer and see the real deal every day. These Jeeps do not fols up like many Hondas and Toyotas.
