What you also coulda done is sell puts on it at a price you wanted to buy it at. Its a win win either way, since you planning to buy into it anyways

I bought 1-day calls on Netflix. Netflix surprised 31 percent above anniversary analyst estimates. But it was up anemically after hours, and the damn stock price didn’t move enough to break even, and by noon the next day, the position was almost wiped out. Buying options are a great idea, huh? If you do this, but call spreads and sell put spreads to make the break even a little more achievable.

Was the plan to exercise the options or resell them? Watching your videos I assume you’ll be exercising them. The reason I ask is because sometimes it’s not the best idea to play options through earnings. The closer you get to earnings the more Vega premium increases. Vega generally decreases right after earning which will drop your options value. I’m an options reseller. Obviously this isn’t good for long term investing but an excellent way to make quick money. It’s also an excellent way to lose money quickly if you don’t know what your doing or don’t keep a tight stop. Haha

Consider the bet here is that the stock goes up at least 5 percent. 5 percent is a lot. There isn’t even much better than a 50 percent chance it will go up at all.
