I don't get why people say Ayanokoji is "edgy" in the anime.
His emotionless expression makes him look like that much more of a sociopath and I prefer that.

Yh In the ln he has no emotions on his face either . Horikita says his face is like a doll his expression never changes. In the newest volume nagumo mentioned his constant poker face . So yh he’s never smiled once after vol 3 the ln illustrations of Ayanokoji matches his anime counterpart. After vol 3 all his illustrations are in tune with the anime

People in the comments probably didnt read the Light Novel, ayanokoji doesnt show emotions because at school he uses his white room "persona" that, in the past, he used to protect himself in the white room.

Well apart from showing his emotions naturaly, he is pretty good at artificially making them tho,
