On splitting the doors in half, it actually is pretty easy, not so much if your exploring and not wanting to break anything probably. Here's how, look around the edges of your panel, you'll see one side looks different from the other 3, don't try and pry in this area, that side has a lip that slides under a groove in the other half. Once you've located that end, move around to either side 90 degrees, and take whatever your prying instrument is, (putty knives are great, the wider the better up to about 4 inches, and press it into the slot half way in the center of your groove, take your free hand and grab the inside (the part that lifts out) and hold steady pressure upwards so it doesn't click back in place. While holding that, move around to the next section 90 degrees from where you are holding it, (opposite the lipped section) and gently pull it apart it will pop out of place, take your hands now and make sure to go around all 3 sides popping the tabs loose, and now lift the end that is no longer attached, and you'll see how it lifts out out of the groove on the other side. It's important because you'll have to put it in that same way. Good luck! Great video by the way, it was very helpful. I almost certainly would've broken something.

It took me ages just to find the right model of dryer video and it was only because the lock had dropped into the door frame and I was trying to figure out how to detach it to fish it out.

I would have never figured out how to remove the frame without your video. Thank you! It did take some "encouragement, " but I used some shims to keep it pried apart. It also helped that my girlfriend was out of town, or she would have freaked out about the amount of disassembling required to make the switch.
