For my IO am an looking at an episode of black mirror as my non-literary text. If I discuss techniques involving the framing of the shot, rule of thirds etc, how would I present this in my IO outline such that the examiner has an idea of what I am talking about. My teacher said that we should only include 40 line extracts from the script of the episode but that does not provide the examiner with any of the visual elements I will be analysing. So I was wondering if I should include screenshots of the extract. Thanks!

Hello Dave and Andrew! I have a question (or rather questions) for you guys and I would appreciate your help.
My student has chosen Steve Cutts' animation "Happiness" as his key non-lit text and 3 other animations to refer in the BOW part of the IA.
He will be referring to various cinematic devices that illustrate his Global issue as seen in Happiness first and elsewhere in his BOW for the rest of the non-lit part of the IA. My question is: how does he go about presenting this information? Does he need to say at which minute what he analyzes is? And also does he need to have screenshots of those scenes he analyses? I assume that his analysis must concern a consecutive segment? Does he talk about the whole animation? I am guessing the answer to that is no since in the lit texts they're not required to do a line by line analysis even though the whole extract is there.
