Trucker protests: 4 injured after vehicle drives through protesters near Manitoba legislature | FULL

Winnipeg police Const. Rob Carver said Saturday that a man has been arrested after four people were injured when a vehicle reportedly drove through a group of protesters that were part of the "Freedom Convoy" demonstrating near the Manitoba legislature.

He said the vehicle fled from the area but police eventually stopped it and arrested the driver, who is facing multiple charges including assault. Three of the injured were treated on scene, and the fourth was treated at hospital but released.

Carver said he could not definitively speak to the motivation, but said that the driver made some comments that "tends to suggest that this was not specifically about the mandates." He cautioned though they could not say for sure whether the comments could be relied upon, adding that the person was taken into custody with "some resistance."

Is this the result of what happens when your country's leader says freedom protesters hold unacceptable views and calls them racist, mysoginist and anti-science? I do not know but definitely something for our PM to consider. If motivation is not about mandates, then maybe it was based on the characterization of the protesters? Just thoughts, not statements.

I lost my job as a social worker for declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. My husband died three years ago. I’m a single mother. Now I’m struggling to provide for my two children both are autistic and non verbal. I feel so alone. I’m ashamed to say but I couldn’t afford to pay my rent. If I can’t come it with it soon I’ll be on the streets. But I’m so glad people are finally standing up to these demonic mandates. All I can do is keep walking in faith. I know God will provide for me and my children.
