*New website with our photos + article coming in early April*

Back at the end of November, we were invited to spend a couple of evenings with the Tokyo Government as part of a project to create some content for their Go Tokyo website (post coming later in 2020). During this video, you can watch behind the scenes capturing some photography in the pouring rain around areas of Tokyo were familiar with, and new areas we hadn't previously explored.

Visiting Asakusa for an evening of geisha entertainment such as the game konpira fune fune and drinks around Hoppy Street, followed by a trip to Sawai in the Mitake Valley area of Tokyo to see the autumn leaves and nighttime illuminations.

I hope you enjoy this relaxed style of vlog. It was pretty intense getting these shots in the pouring rain, but I'm pretty happy with the results!

I probably have never seen a rainy travel video on YouTube. Takes some skills to make a grey, rainy day look beautiful, but you succeeded!

I have watched pretty much all your Japan videos and love all your content. This one in particular I think is one of the best out yet. Also love the Winter Train Travel series. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to what's next!

Joe, your photos are amazing. I really would like to see your take on some of the places I love in Japan:
1. Okunoin in Koyasan
2. Kami-shikimi Kumano-imasu Jinja (Shrine) in Kumamoto
3. The approach path to Togakushi Jinja (Shrine) in Nagano especially in snow
4. Kumano Kodo path
5. Autumn leaves in the mountains of Ura-Bandai
6. The remains of Takeda Castle in clouds
7. Reflections of Tsuta-numa Pond in Aomori or Mishaka-ike Pond in Nagano
8. Cherry blossoms in Yoshino
9. Autumn leaves of Keisoku-ji Temple in Shiga.
10. Oirase Torrent in Aomori

I love your videos in Tokyo. I see things I don’t see anywhere else with such a nice calm and chill vibe. I keep watching them over and over. It gives me so much inspiration to try and take pictures at places I don’t normally go to or pay attention to things I don’t normally pay attention to. Thank you.

Hi Joe, Finland calling! Stayed in Asakusa back in October 2018 and got those night shots as well - but without the rain. Lovely colour grading, just fantastic.

Love those images.. All that colour seems amplified by the rain! You captured the mood really well.

Another goodie Joe! looked like a lot of fun making this one, great to be noticed for the wonderful light you guys show Japan in, Loving the wide aspect ratio too (almost fills my 21:9 monitor) :)

I really don't understand why you don't have more than 206K subscribers ... you do spend a lot of time in Japan, have you thought maybe some collaboration with Japanese Youtubers ? Today I discovered Ryoya Takashima, he shoots Fuji and speaks more than decent English (his channel is in Japanese). I am thinking more collaboration may help to grow your channel. Other than that, this is a fantastic start to 2020 and I can watch your videos over and over again, there is always something new to discover at each viewing !
