90% of this was simply on google cloudprint.  I'm not interested in cloud, simply printing from my android phone, via wi-fi or NFC.  my samsung phone won't "find" my samsung C460W  Xpress printer and I'm trying to find out what I'm doing wrong, if anything.  Thanks

I spent two years as an army instructor and it was stressed early on that you don't talk and demonstrate at the same time. First say what you're going to do then shut up and do it so people can follow without the distraction of the non-stop chatter. I know you'll say this instruction is different but it would help understanding if you could pause when something is tricky or difficult to see.

It works but the Google Cloud Print app doesn't present an icon so that I can't print from anywhere. For example, from the gallery.
Now I added Printershare and that works great. Also because I can print with Printershare via the Share button.

so for the most part you need an internet connection..have an old S2 and it has a print option but only allows printing to a samsung printer LOL.
Do any other phone manufacturers support printing directly, you know, better than samsung?

If your printer has WiFi it doesn't need a computer, if it does not have WiFi it needs to be on and connected to a computer with internet connection.
