During the pandemic, I was so sad that he had to close two of his restaurants😔 but I’m so grateful that I got to try them before closing

Found this show after seeing Shota on Top Chef - he seems like such a strong chef and I hope he gets the Top Chef title :)

The Iron Chef Gauntlet Idea is appealing. However, the new president gives the vibes of 'Mad Fickle Chef' theme than a Iron Chef-uru theme

Does Alton Brown's voice sound really weird?

I never bothered watching the show until I meet Jason Dady. I had no idea that this guy was famous

As I have said elsewhere... this competition "elimination style" show is the wrong method to find the best or top chef.

What you want, is the best chef to continue on. But in this "competition/elimination" style .... the lesser talented chefs are always competing and scheming to eliminate the more qualified chefs, for elimination.
don't want to eliminate the best chef(s), by eliminating them because they might be 'too good".... just for game show entertainment..
You don't want to create a situation where the best chefs can be bullied or voted off the show.
I mean, the whole point of the show is supposed to be a best "Iron Chef"... and not be.... "best playing contestant" Iron Chef.

An Iron Chef with no Iron Chef arena. What is the point?

All of the Iron Chef episodes, the Japanese ones hosted by a fictional character played by an actor, and these American episodes, hosted by Mr. Brown who unfortunately plays himself, are really an education to home cooks in that they show professional techniques and approaches. But this episode convinces me that the ENTIRE SERIES has a pernicious effect. Above all, cuisine should not be turned into a sporting event, with unambiguous scoring rules. I am unhappy to see the participants quoted as almost universally asserting the validity of "Iron Chef" opinion. It disgusts me to see the smugness of various judges, both in the Japanese and US series. English speakers can be referred to the US episodes, but I understand spoken Japanese, and sometimes the comments of the Japanese judges or guests are so riddled with preconceptions, prejudices, and the artificial cretinism of conformism to purported public opinion are disgusting. These throwdowns are anathema to anyone who loves food and cooking for their own sake, and only serve the interests of profit mongers and charlatans. Whether in the home, in publicly sold food in humble places, in expensive places for those who can afford it, the ethos of food should never change. The actual quality, not the publicity surrounding it is the only value that both those who eat it and prepare it should care about. The food, not the fame, is the reward.

Hardest thing she's, ever done? Bullshit! I've seen her season of "Top Chef", I know for a fact that's not true!
