That DDP Halloween Havoc match still holds up

It was different back then: you were coming off the heels of an era where the guys were legitimately tough guys, and Goldberg was really evocative of that.

Goldberg was a phenom. The behind the scenes issues really didn't impact the audience experience at all.

He was a huge star. He was believable, and being a new guy worked for him. This was the era before dirtsheets took over. The guy had a mystique, and the more he kept winning, and the more feats of strength and athleticism he showed, the more people believed in him and in wrestling in general.

Like him or hate him, but he excelled expectations early in his career despite being green af, according to his colleagues. Imagine telling a rookie, "hey we're gonna make you the new face of an established company(WCW) "

Goldburg always came off as just a pissed off man in the ring, his moves, his attitude, if thats what he was going for then he did a great job playing that character

That back flip hit different live. I’m tired of the Goldberg disrespect

One of the main reasons WCW stayed alive through a tough time, people will hate but I've got nothing but respect for big Bill 🙏

Goldberg was a beast. I don’t understand the whole “he couldn’t wrestle” thing. Yea he might not have been “technical” but that’s likely due to his size.

Everything he did felt heavy, strong, and powerful and I enjoyed watching it. -although he did cause some pretty gnarly botches here and there lol

He built up a legacy, he never tried to intentionally hurt people, honestly if he had a better support system in WCW he could have been as great as they tried to make him seem

Ummm he did something right! He was intimidating af. You believed when he was knocked to the canvass and then immediately got right back up! You believed when he would just look at anyone…don’t matter who…he was going to kick some a$$! He was right up there with my favorites during his reign in WCW.
