Wow! One-hour and twenty-five minutes for this? I own a basic GS Mini Mahogany. It surprises me every time I pick it up. Just an amazing small guitar with a big voice. Nuff' said.

I have a 2016 GS Mini-e Koa and I can tell you it has gotten WAY mellower. It doesn't sound as attacky/bright as the example Daniel played and the bass has blossomed. I'm curious how the 224ce-K DLX would sound in comparison to those two.

I will say that with these particular models, the low end is starkly better on the higher end models. It may just be the Urban Ash that I don’t jive with.

I dunno guys. I have a GS mini-e Koa plus, a GTe Urban Ash, and previously a standard GS-mini with sapele back… to me the GTe Urban Ash is the weakest of the three… my observations… I understand they are different tonewoods but when judging simply by satisfaction of the sound output, I pick the standard GS-mini sapele over all…

I listened to this again tonight because I didn't find a new one to listen to. These are my thoughts.
The mini is more like a Kia than the GT is a Ferrari.
I am like the guy who said "I'm not a Padres fan but if my team is out I will pull for them. I like you guys and the Taylor focus .I do not own a Taylor. I graduated in 1974 and have been aware of Taylor guitars.
I have two Martin guitars, both with Adirondack over mahogany. One is 20 years old and one is about 6 months. I have a D-18GE and a CEO 7. This would be a great comparison to make an audio sample. I paid less for both in total than the K21 (Yes I got a going out of business deal on the first).
I often wonder if I am the only person who doesn't own a Taylor that enjoys Tuesdays with you. I prefer a beefy neck on a guitar. I prefer an unplugged or mic amped guitar. Andy quacked like a duck (feed or walk it)
For a 50 year old company, you are doing something right. I do like the sound of some of your guitars but I think that they are overpriced. There are several Martin guitars I would love to own under $2k.I am probably not buying any more (maybe a resonator and a Tele).I have a good dozen or so now.
Send me one for 90 days and I may have to buy it. I have never found one that speaks to me. No offense. I really like the company. .except you are not consistent and I like traditional ways.
I have a clean dead walnut tree in my backyard...

I remember Bob Taylor once saying that all laminate/layered guitars will basically sound the same. If that is so, why do so many say there is a difference in tone or they can hear a difference like there is with an all solid wood guitar?
