Firefighters rescue man at construction site

The St. Stephen Fire Department responded this morning to a call to extricate a construction worker who fell into a large, deep hole on Milltown Boulevard as work continues on water and sewage line installation. The worker did not appear to be seriously injured, but no details on his condition were immediately available. A source at the construction site said the pavement gave way beneath the worker’s feet and he tumbled into the hole.
